Hey, my name is Viktor and I am the developer of this site. This is my
hobby and occasionally it feels like
this.
My goal is to decrease amount of loneliness in the FIRE community. To
achieve this I help to meet others and build meaningful connections.

Let's jump to the stuff - how meeting wonderful people here works:

Everyone can see at most 12 new profiles per day,
because this is a mindful communication site and I don't want you
to scroll through profiles forever and always doubt 'what if the
next person is even better'.

You see only profiles which satisfy your requirements and whose
requirements you satisfy. That's why it is important to fill in
your profile.

The profiles in your queue are prioritized by their activity,
distance from you, how many fields they filled in, whether they
have a photo. More details on ranking are
here.

When you see someone interesting, you send them a request. It does
not include any message. It means: 'hey, I would like to get to
know you better'. Everyone can send at most 3
requests per day. This is to help you prioritize and avoid spam in
general.

Once the request is approved, you can start chatting. You also get
to see their unblurred photo, if it was blurred.

Others will see your profile and will send requests for you to
approve.
